The Mentalist

Today at work we had a mentalist in.  No, not some to diagnose all our of mental issues, a mentalist: someone who perform “magic” in a sense.  I don’t know his name or anything about him, except for the fact that he was doing all kinds of weird tricks that one would usually say wasn’t real.  Except all of this was!!!

First off, he took my co-workers sunglasses and levitated them.  Yes, he levitated them into THIN AIR.  I kid you not.  I can’t explain it, I was trying to figure out how it happened but the man did it.  I’m officially freaking out.

Next, he had another girl think of a name of someone she cares about.  He instantly told her she wasn’t thinking of a significant other.  Correct.  He then deduced it was a woman and that the name wasn’t normal.  Correct again.  He had her think of the first initial and he told her it was a T.  Correct.  Finally he told her the name of the girl she was thinking of, Tabinthia, and he was correct.

He was doing all kind of crazy other crap that I can’t explain.  So I decided to look up what a mentalist is:

“Mentalism is a performing art in which its practitioners, known as mentalists, appear to demonstrate highly developed mental or intuitive abilities. Performances may include telepathy, clairvoyance, divination, precognition, psychokinesis, mediumship, mind control, memory feats and rapid mathematics. Hypnosis may also be used as a stage tool. Mentalists are sometimes referred to as Psychic entertainers.”

Such a bizarre experience… if you ever come into contact with a mentalist, they’ll be sure to entertainment you.
